Community-Wide Shutter Replacement at Shadow Hill

Our team had the privilege of leading a transformative project that enhanced the curb appeal of the Shadow Hill community. What started as a partial contract quickly evolved into a full-scale upgrade due to the board and management team’s satisfaction with the quality of our work.

Scope of Work

The project centered on the replacement of 477 pairs of shutters across the community’s two-story townhouse-style buildings. The work involved the removal and disposal of existing shutters and shutter spikes, followed by the installation of new, standard-sized raised panel vinyl shutters in a 50/50 mullion configuration. These were designed to align with the architectural character of the neighborhood and included three different sizes.

The color selections, chosen from a stock palette, were carefully decided in collaboration with the HOA to complement the existing aesthetic of the community.

Execution

The project required meticulous planning and execution to address the community’s varying building styles and materials. Our team installed shutters on both masonry and vinyl siding, using lifts to complete work on the two-story buildings safely and efficiently.

In addition to standard sizes, some shutters required special orders to meet unique building specifications, ensuring that every detail of the project was tailored to the community’s needs.

Expanding the Vision

Initially, the project was limited to half of the community. However, upon completing the first phase, the HOA board and management team were so pleased with the results that they decided to expand the scope to include the remaining buildings. This decision highlights not only the visual impact of the new shutters but also the trust and confidence we built with the HOA throughout the project.

The new shutters revitalized the look of Shadow Hill HOA, creating a cohesive and polished appearance that elevated the community’s overall aesthetic.
